> Junior Rowing (Teenagers)

Washington Rowing School offers a summer rowing program for all high school students. This is a great opportunity to enjoy boating on these warm summer days with friends from different schools.

Beginners will learn equipment handing, terminology, basic rowing stroke, safety, and the importance of teamwork.
Experienced rowers will develop balance, bladework, and boat-moving skills.

Junior Summer Program
There will be two groups: first-timers and experienced rowers. Skills and fitness will be developed by learning to row small boats. Singles, doubles, pairs, fours, and eights are available. We'll row bigger boats as numbers and interest allows. Our goal is competition in local regattas. Additional rowing in July and August will gladly be scheduled if demand suffices.
Monday - Thursday 8:00 - 10:00 a.m.
June 17 - July 20
$400
Rowers will be grouped by skill level. These classes are open to all teenagers. All participants must be able to swim and be accompanied by a parent or guardian
Call 202-344-0886 or email us for registration information.
