Welcome to Washington Rowing School
We are getting ready for our National Learn to Row Day, June 3. Over 100 folks participated last year. Our Community Challenge crews are looking for new recruits to practice and race eights in our August Bladensburg Races.
Now it’s time for some Spring Rowing. Learn to Scull classes are now posted starting April 1. Spring Break Sculling is open to youth and adults starting April 10 and 17.
Our Junior Crew is looking for enthusiastic young rowers! Come make some new friends and try out this fun sport in the weekend of March 11 and 12. New rowers are welcome! See classes page for more information. Register here.
The Washington Rowing School was created to make the sport of rowing accessible to everyone. Whether you crave a new physical outlet or are looking for more enjoyable ways to spend time on the water, rowing combines grace, skill and balance with an invigorating workout. Founder and coach Cindy Cole brings over 40 years of competitive rowing and coaching experience. She is now offering one-on-one and small group rowing sculling instruction for beginners and experienced rowers alike. Classes and individual instruction are available for sweep rowing or sculling.
Learn to row or perfect your technique on the tranquil waters of the Anacostia River. All classes launch from the Bladensburg Waterfront Park just outside of Washington, DC.
Our new website is under construction. Classes and programs are being updated and posted here.
